I have a personal passion for print, especially zine making. It is an enjoyable way for me to connect my design skills, art skills and writing skills into one project. I have made 2 bigger projects containing zines.
My first being the small, red and brown zine printed on A5 paper on a RISO printer. The numbers on the back were printed using the letter press.This was a short project inspired by a quote from Donna Tart's 'The Secret History' book.
My second zine project was a three part series that included my illustrations and poetry. These booklets were also printed on a RISO printed, on A3 sized pages. When the book is folded there is a simple blue and pink sun/ moon motif that includes the text. When the booklet is opened and unfolded it contains illustrative posters on the back, each unique to their respective theme of daylight, midday and nightfall. It is one of my favourite projects done by far.
